World Exclusive video: Time Travel Scientist Dr. Ronald Mallett, History Channel

For quite some time, Ronald Mallett has been working on plans for a time machine. This machine uses a ring laser and the theory of relativity. Mallett first argued that the ring laser would produce a limited amount of frame-dragging which might be measured experimentally, saying: In Einstein’s general theory of relativity, both matter and energy can create a gravitational field. This means that the energy of a light beam can produce a gravitational field. My current research considers both …

you should read the dharma bums.

travel through time, with mind not body.

Whatever this is. Only God nows why.

watch 5.40 carefully. he states that we can send information through time to change future disasters…. huh? nope son, that would be impossible, you would change another parallel universe, not ours, otherwise you would create a paradox. just think about it, why is it that we haven’t received any messages from the future?simply because if we had received any messages, then the catastrophy wouldn’t have happened and they would not have had a reason for sendinG us the message.THIS IS THE PARADOX

Everytime I travel forward in time to get tomorrow’s lottery numbers, the relativity principle changes the damned numbers.

dude listen technology is getting advanced its possible to time travel because time and space r connected einsteins theory which means we need to focus on 1 thing how are we going to control this and how r we going to make this

Lets say he manages to build a time machine, go back and save his father. The fact that his father died when he was 2 yrs old is the motivation for him to build the time machine in the 1st place.
Now that motivation is gone as his father has been saved, which means he doesn’t bother building the time machine….

I don’t think we need a time machine to view other times. Space and Matter and Consciousness are the same. the Scientist can see his father other ways……………..

why the fuck do people like you brings god with everything gets to my balls….god dont exist and the bible is a fairy tell

im srry to hear your comment soon when your not so ignorant..you will wise up an seek an realise that all the answers are right infront of us ..jus gotta kno who to go to …

    umm..no

  12. sevenahm on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

This is a show hyping a scientist’s wishful thinking. If it is possible, we have much more to learn. Dr. Mallett will never do it.

Even if its true, I dont think god would allow it. We be dead before that happens.

  14. JohnTitor41 on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

    This is possible

  15. BKajun06 on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

don’t bring god into this.. you people make me sick.. it could be about fucking barney and you could bring god into it.. you pray to a bible that WAS made by man.. if you go by the bible so much, do you work on sunday(the sabbath day)? Should we stone you to death because you do? shut the fuck up faggot, YOU are disobeying the 10 commandments everyday..

  16. Starduster1000 on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

I would jump on a time trip in the blink of an eye :)

  17. 1966BOBBY on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

If mankind invents a time machine some time in the future, then a time machine exists now.

  18. allealle9090 on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

    there is one reason
we would brake the time law
also it’s forbiden to brake that law
only for those who have earnd the right
    to use a time travel
    but never the less
will we ever make a machine ??
    god knows

  19. fabianidhesona on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

stephen hawking said it could be possible.

  20. gez460 on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

I don’t think it would be possible. From a mathematical standpoint, you would have to be a four-dimensional being to move around in four-dimensions. Since we are only three-dimensional beings, moving humans, animals, or machines through time would be impossible. If we could create a four-dimensional point in our three dimensions and then replicate that infinitely many times, we might be able to create a machine that moves through four dimensions. I don’t believe the math works, though.

  21. SonyXLR on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

    umm…yes

  22. Cr3ativity on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

Time travel is just like the air pump. Everyone prior to the 17th century thought a perfect vacuum is impossible to create until Robert Boyle went to work and proved them wrong. Same thing with this. It is only a matter of time until someone finally figures out how to manipulate time.

  23. hamish6188 on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

yea dude, sorta like a cartoon slide.
search up Elegant Universe and watch it, its all about quantum mechanics and string theory. its pretty far out there, but its thought provoking none the less.

  24. hiei5678 on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

    So true..

  25. hiei5678 on December 8th, 2009 11:07 pm

It could be possible, theres no way of knowing, because you can’t travel to the future if it hasn’t happend yet, or the past, because the past already happend. but maybe there are an infinite number of universes all in different parts of time, who knows, i don’t really know how to explain it. =]
