   So what Al Pacino’s character the killer in the end? Im very confused…because they used a different actor at the beginning for the killer but the film ends with Pacino looking evilly into the camera. And who killed Ted? God..someone answer

   Anyone who watches this movie, be on the lookout for Ed O’ Neill. You probably know him as Al Bundy from “Married With Children” SFYT (something for your troubles)

    Saw this one yesterday, gave me the goose bumps. Good movie, staged on a very original scene.

    al pacino is the best actor ever. robert de niro is excellent too, one of my favorites, but al pacino is a lot more versatile.

    It’s showing the lengths(no pun intended) he’s having to go to, to catch the suspect. Those being completely submerging himself in that scene to find this guy.

    you need to watch the dvd extras, there’s a huge documentary on it with Friedkin himself explaining a lot of stuff.

    Interesting, the trailer makes it look like it might be a good film, in reality its pretty dreadful. There are a number of scenes in the trailer that I don’t recognise from the versions I’ve seen on UK television.

    I know that Friedkin has always stated that his version has never been seen. I’d like to see a Director’s Cut. It would probably be a better film and make more sense. It might explain why the killer that was caught at the end looks nothing like the killer at the start of the film.
