it rocks
This was song was originally done by Richard Berry, the guy who did the original version of “Louie Louie.” Kurt Cobain was a big fan of The Sonics. Cobain said that The Sonics, despite recording their drums with only one microphone, had the best drum sound he had ever heard. You’ve got to admit, it sounds pretty awesome.
pote reee?
1 time this year they ll be in europe
AND THEY LL BE IN GREECE ATHENS YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
dam, dat song is just too good, fuck
thanks for this vid!! =]
Ortleyman, I am totally with you. Where were these bands when we were young? Airwaves were flooded with the Archies and Bobby Goldsboro when we should have been hearing this.
Great!!! Thanks to The Black Keys for drawing me to this song. I love this pre-punk garage sound.
Amen, ortley.
I don’t mind the crap I was offered on the radio but this is better by far.
The one song you’ll ever need. Brilliant.
Jump in that cool 1965 Dodge Dart and set your dial to 196.5 KOOL-FM! I just LOVE this song! Garage band Dodge Dart era music RULES! The Pacific NW brought some of the best damn garage bands under the sun!
Fair enough. It’s an excellent cover too.
Oh yeah, ça déchire grave!
this song is in rockNrolla! luv it
Yeah, because that’s all music is these days….
I heard the Black Keys’ version of this, and idk I still might like their version a little bit better than this one.
Garage rock and protopunk
It pisses me off that this stuff was not played on the radio when I was growing up. I had to endure lame shit like “Southern Rock” and “Classic Rock.” What a fucking nightmare. Thanks to ‘Little Steven’s Underground Garage’ bands like ‘The Sonics’ are getting some respect. It only took 40 years.
what are you talking about? thats how it sounds on the original recording.
i’m loving that too much, you are brilliant
Garage the best fucking rock genre
these guys influenced bands like the fucking mummies, monomen, makers..just to name a few
nah youd be able to tell its not from today cause nobody’s using a autotuner and lady gaga isn’t in it
Lol. Yes, I probably should.
Oh by the way, this is garage punk, not mediocre entertainment !
You need to get out more ! !
Never heard this song until I saw the Range Rover commercial. This song is nice.
